Sorry for be MIA for so long but I have been on the hunt for a house for these many many months and then when I found one things got very busy paper work research and everything else
My shop is currently on vacation while we get everything packed up and moved out of our apartment.
During our house hunt we looked at several houses and had a total of 3 realtors
House 1 was amazing but far to small and way way way way out and the land to rocky for use also it was to many acres to qualify for our loan
House 2. looked at with realtor number 2 I fell in love with and made an offer on its was beautiful but as it turns out it needed over 25,000 dollars worth of work and that isnt counting the fact that it turns out that all water in that area was bad....
House 3. Looked at with a different realtor was the worst house I have ever been in it was dirty with fly paper with bums living in it trash everywhere and it had a fire on the inside so half of it was burnt ..it did have amazing land though with 2 ponds Ill give it that..but I needed a shower after leaving it
So I went back to looking at houses online and came back to one of the ones I looked at several times and had driven past on one of our country drives we had dismissed it because it was right by a church and was 2 1/2 acres
but I kept coming back to it over and over again and finally decided to go look at it and when I did.................I fell in love
it had renters in it who did not want to leave they had been in the house 3 months and the house had been up for sale for 3 years apparently
I walked in the house and it was amazing high ceilings a wood stove and 4 bedrooms one being a really amazing loft and a HUGE kitchen and a laundry room ..the land was great with a seasonal creek in the back...we made our offer and then the renters tried to buy it but we got under contract first and so out of anger they did some damage to it they kicked a hole in the door and tried to burn the house down ....
We held our breath and waited and on Halloween we got to close on the house and we got the keys......finally our own house.
It was built in 1925 and has been remodeled several times but still holds its old farm house charm
growing up I always wanted to live in an old farm house in the country Id visit my grammy and her house had been built towards the end of the 1800s and I just loved it ..its a cute yellow two story house that was built to last as she still lives in it to this day.
So in me and Josh getting this house my childhood dreams are starting to come true.
Here is the outside of the house it has a nice sturdy metal roof and a great porch that I cant wait to sit on when the weather gets better,
The wood stove in the living room it has fake rocks around it but I think it still looks cute
The living room is massive and has plenty of space even more so since we arent going to put the tv or movie shelves in it we decided to do a movie room and hang up movie posters.
The Staircase to the loft Josh decided to use the loft for his room.
Ill have to get pictures of the loft later I forgot to.
The kitchen it has lots of space and big counters so for once Ill be able to make Josh large dinners! Im actually excited for cooking.
The cellar which well come in handy when we start canning this spring and summer.
The doorknob to my etsy room it takes a skeleton key :)
More of the living room and the doors to the Bedroom and movie room
going down the stairs in the loft
the side of the house with little fish pond
Where the washing machine plugs it left a hole so we needed something to plug it up....and this is what we found.
The entry way to the room I plan on using for etsy storage the big box you see is for head space when walking down in the cellar
Behind the house there is a little creek part of it is dried of but there is a deep hole with a spring and some fish.
the backside of the house
Ill do another blog on the house soon after Im more moved in we have painting to do and more cleaning Im going to be without internet for awhile I found out that I cant transfer my current service so I have to find a new provider for internet and cell phone..so it may be a bit.

Toy Photography
So toys have always been a passion of mine and so it only makes sense that Id enjoy taking photos of them as well.. I have been taking photos of them for awhile now for fun and for my book I have been working on and I had thought about putting up prints in my etsy shop to help support my book but I hadn't been to sure about anyone liking them but so many of my friends who I have shown the photos to have been really supportive and sweet to me and it gave me the courage to list some
I even sold one print to a dear sweet friend of mine it was a great feeling.
I hope that others well be interested in my photos and that these photos well leave a smile on their faces and hearts...
I know I feel really good when Im out and about taking photos of my toys it gives me a chance to use my imagination and my husband even helps me :)
Josh has been really supportive over this he even copyrighted the photos for me.
Its fun to find new locations for my photos and new toys for my photos always an adventure :)
I took this photo in the park where I got married
I have taken many photos there now because its such a beautiful place/
I haven't listed this one on etsy yet but I will soon..This is one of the first toy photos I took..It was taken in the woods at a spring.
This was taken in my toy cabinet one night after I rearranged them.
Josh took this one for me because it was the last day to get photos of the hula dolls before they went to their new homes..and I was sick in bed ..so he took them to the park it was a rainy day but the photos turned out great!
Another last chance photo because my Edward Mobley Squeak cat got his new home..taken behind our apartment.
Another one taken at the park where me and Josh got married if you step behind the main part of the park you find this little secret area :) This dolls name is Mary Ellen ..She seemed like she needed a name and I asked Josh to name her and he named her after his great grandma.
This one was taken at the end of the day right before it got dark at this little tiny park in Monark Springs..Its not much of a park but it does have a spring and a Train car.
I have many more photos I have taken that Ill get ready soon and of course Ill be taking more :)
Lets just hope everyone wants them hanging on their walls :)

Non vintage items on etsy
Im getting red in the face..im feeling faint and I kind of feel like im going to throw up but not before I break something..Im that upset ..
Why you might ask?
Because being a true vintage nut and finding non vintage items all over etsy is driving me insane..
its been going on for awhile now but its only gotten worse..
to be honest I had always thought it was horrible to report someone or message them to tell them they are doing something wrong..I have always been like mind your own business but finally I snapped it started with Mighty Muggs and brand new Star wars bobble heads from Toys r us
next I found a repro Rainbow Brite..
I messaged the owner of this....repro to tell him that it was, he is a guy so I thought that maybe he just didn't understand Rainbow Brite but it turns out the guy was just a scumbag who loves money and doesn't mind lieing to his customers he didn't want to know the truth about his doll so despite the fact that he now knows he has kept it up for sale.
Compare
Rainbow Brite had Orange hair and her Sprite Twink was fabric not plastic ( plus everything about that Rainbow Brite is wrong just wrong )
also I sent the guy several links proving to him but he still said I was wrong..

Next we have this wonderful collectible vintage treasure that the shop owner claims is from the 1960s ,,,,really how dumb does she think we are..Shrek came out in 2001 and I forget what year they had the baby but its even later than 2001.
So when etsy asked her what year it was made she totally just lied and said 1960.,,,some people..
Next ..someone else who "thinks" that Shrek is vintage ....
this is getting old and im getting madder
check it out
From the same shop we have some repro care bears
Compare to the Original deal
Next we have someone who is either very bold or very stupid because they posted a Furby with the actual 1998 date
Next up is a shop that is so very bold that it makes me throw up a little
the shop is almost all new toys Heres a late 2000 era MLP
And yet another Furby I like what they have to say about it
16 inches great shape.. not new.. made in 1999.. cute chubby fella
Bodly stating that it is made in 1999 and apparently since its not new that makes it vintage in there eyes,
We also have from there store a teletubbie they came out in 1997

When you see an non vintage item on etsy report them
I cannot share the names of the shops as I have been threatened by an unhappy person
Keep it vintage :)

Squeak toy Adventures
This weekend has been a fun one :)
full of sunshine and flowers and toys!
I ended up skipping out on the yardsales to just do some exploring.
Friday
I woke up early and headed out towards the countryside stopping at the scary flea market ( not so scary anymore ) I mentioned it in one of my early blog posts.
I bought a few small items but I had remembered that they had some rare horror movie vhs movies that I had meant to get but never got because I wanted to see about getting them on dvd first but after doing some research I found that some of them havent been released yet and probably wont be and the ones that have cost 40.00 and up but they were all gone..so no horror movies for me.
We did however get lucky because the chair we had wanted to get last year was still there we couldnt fit it into our tiny little toyota so we gave them money to hold it for us.
After that we wondered off until we ended up at a park and decided to take some pictures.
My squirrel from russia
My unnatural pink squirrel
My knee was messed up so Josh had to to do this picture of me of my little woodland bear doll
The woodland bear doll had an epic adventure!!! and I went home and went to bed :)
Saturday!!!
I almost didnt get up because my knee hurt so bad that I wanted to lay in bed and cry about it but the more I thought about it ..I knew Id regret missing out on a beautiful day.
I packed up some more squeakys and we went to some woods near by for picture taking
The woods we went to have a beautiful spring and a nice picnic area.
Here is one of my newer additions to my growing collection..he makes me think of the water babies
It took several shots to get it right but we finally did..he tried to get away a few times
He Just couldnt resist making a fire :) we stayed around for awhile to enjoy it eating a few snacks and talking until it started to get dark.
Sunday
I got up today put ice of my knee to get it ready for a lonnnng hike in the woods
Of course on the way we stopped at a flea market that I had once found some nice toys at..not this time though I did however go to the animal charity booth to buy stuff for Merrills shop.
After that the long hike where I huffed and I puffed and almost passed out the whole way because most of it was uphill and I was carrying a ton of stuff on me...but I did get some good pictures and much needed exercise so it was worth it.
And as we were taking the pictures I saw a bat and Josh had to look and then he decided to make cheeping sounds at them and they attacked..silly
End of the weekend..sleep time.
