Kitschy Pink Poodle and some other stuff

I haven't went Flea Marketing in awhile I was going to wait until after October because I have been spending my money on Halloween stuff and doing Halloween related things but I couldn't resist any longer and Saturday I swung by one of my usual haunts
I didn't find much but that was ok I was trying to be a good girl and not spend to much money I had already been bad and spent so much on movies and tshirts and home décor..so I knew I shouldn't.

Heres what I got

A really kitsch Plastic Pink Poodle its broken in spots and used to be a bank but I think im going to use it to hold my remotes and cell phone.

This sweet little tin im going to put in Merrills Shop :)
And not pictured  because I already mailed it off to live with a friend of mine before taking a picture a sweet little kewpie doll
I also got a cool Jack O Lantern bucket but Ill post that in my next post
I spent less than I ever had in that flea market that day.

On Saturday we went to a craft fair and looked around I didn't find anything I really wanted which was ok I have way to much in my house but I did stop at one vintage booth and I was looking at a bag of kids books and the lady said I could have the bag for 4.00 dollars and after that I had to buy them..
The craft fair was very fun its really pretty there water falls and a bridge and an old mill its great to just walk around and enjoy being outside in the sun and to enjoy all the good smells the cedar the good food smells.
I had a huge platter of curly fries that were pretty amazing!

Im going to put this book into Merrills very understocked store.

This book is so cute its what got my attention when I saw the bag of books
In the bag was also 2 more Button books I love them..but I know nothing about them so Ill have do do some research.

This book has no words its just a couple of cute pictures of kittens its also going in Merrills store
This book feels like it has never been read before..its sort of like a Jack and Janet book.

I had this book as a little girl and I loved it theres a puppy in this book that the Shy little kitten meets on her adventures that looked just like my Dog Whatamess.
I found several bags of Polly Pockets 2 of them still have dolls and 2 of them don't.

These dolls are interesting they are from the early 90s and are called Popcorn Pretties apparently faeries or something that lived inside a kernel of corn.

I don't know who this doll is but she smells really good and is made by Mattel and in 1988 Im not sure if she is supposed to smell good or is just scented because she was in a bag with Cherry Merry Muffin...I could use some help figuring out who she is
I got this whole bag of dolls for under 2.00 what a steal! 2 cherry merry muffin dolls they are in good shape but Cherry Merry Muffin herself has messy hair and a cupcake doll ect ect Im pretty happy not to mention that all these dolls smell really really good.

I had one of these as a little girl but mine was a parfait doll
this one is in ok shape but her ribbon that attackes her cupcake top hat is gone.

                                                        Here she is transformed!
I picked up this sweet little guy to add to my collection!
I couldn't resist this kitsch bird to hang in my kitchen he is pretty neat!
Fisher price 3 men in a tub but they seemed to have lost the tub and 1 man..
I think Josh is keeping them he has very fond memories of  playing with these as a child :)

Falls a great time of year! Ill do another post about some of the other stuff I got and things I have been up 2 :)

The Hula girls and some other stuff

I have gotten a bit behind on my blogging and etsy...:( im ashamed

Last weekend I went off to look for some vintage Halloween stuff at one of my favorite flea markets
I looked all over and found none I also decided to do a bit of shopping for my etsy if I found anything that was really good..and at first just like the Halloween stuff I was finding nothing...and then...

I went to a booth that usually has a ton of dolls and seeing no dolls that I really liked I started to walk away when something Rainbowie ( its not a word? ) caught my eye and I reached under abunch of things and pulled out this very large Rainbow Brite similar to one I sold before if not just like it,..
I love Rainbow Brite ( I have talked about that before I know ) she was my favorite cartoon growing up..Id keep this doll if I didn't already have one..mine isn't vintage but a large remake that looks almost just like it but with yellow hair instead of orange...and mine talks ( only she doesn't sound good so I don't put batteries in her )

The next booth is also a favorite of mine but the only thing I found that I wanted was this comic
I love these comics they are fun to read and I love the cheesy romantic art.

I wondered around for awhile with only 2 items in my basket and thought I was going to get out of there cheap for once I was almost through with the place and stopped at the last couple of booths when.......

I discovered a big of knick knacks for 3.00 and grabbed it up..I love surprise bags
Here are a few of the strange things that were in the bag
a weird troll thing..I think he is resin I don't know
some little animals and a thimble I put them up in Merrills store
a cute little bear I think it might be Sylvanian Families  Im not sure..I have a bear similar in Merrills store that's a cowboy.
My little pony baby waddles 1988..yay finally another my little pony to add to my shop :)
Some really cute little rubber babies
A miniature bone china cat..he is darling he will also go in Merrills store
and a kitschy dashboard hula girl
a large iguana toy I think I might do some sort of project with him

Amongst the stuff I didn't photograph were a couple of old but very cute tin play dishes a pez dispenser and a japan and some ceramic dishes and a wide array of other stuff

I grabbed up a handful of other stuff for 50 cents each in the same booth

This Goosebumps book..I love Goosebumps I started reading them in 4th or 5th grade and I still think they are great..!!!

I think I put this in my husbands very empty shop..he hasn't been doing much with it and then he got his first bad feedback ( wasn't his fault ) and he thinks its all over for his shop.

I went to one more booth as we were leaving and that's when I found them....
a bag of wonderful kitschy vintage hula girls from the 60s-70s they are so cute
They were 25.00 for the bag for them and Josh thought that it was a rip off..who wants hula girls he said? and I said collectors and he said ok........

Here they are all 9 of them

This one is a music box
I got this one listed on etsy last night for 60.00
This one is missing an eyelash and has some frizz issues its a shame but my good friend Menna who is going to give her a home assures me she can fix her :)
This little beauty is one of my favorites out of the bunch look at her little face
I thought about keeping her for myself but..really I keep to much for myself and I want to try to sell all 9 of them.
                                                             this one holds pencils
Look at this little unwrapped beauty..its odd that she was never opened she is reserved by my friend Menna
and my other favorite she is perfection her eye shadow her hair she still has her clothes
and her expression on her face is priceless ..You just have to love her!
She is also going to my friend Menna

Menna has good taste when it comes to toys huh?

Anyways I love these dolls they hold a story I think..of parents who went every year to Hawaii without there kids but always brought back dolls for them.

I think they are my best finds yet!

Forgotten toys issue 1 SNAILIENS!

This is something I have been playing around with in my mind for awhile now
writing about toys that have been forgotten and I have found my first subject "Snailiens"

This is one of my husbands childhood toys we didn't even know the name of it until recently because he had forgotten what it was called soon after he got it in 1992
The story goes his mom asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said an Alien toy what he meant was Alien for the movie and what he got was this odd ball character poor little Josh and his well meaning mom :) but the toy grew on him after all he is 26 now and he still has it.

This guys name is Blastar that's actually the name he came with and he is a bad guy apparently and he used to come with a little evil side kick but its lost now...
they also came with some sort of rubber shell that you could launch them with

Snailiens came with a dumb comic book and the good guys in the story were named after presidents
Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Lincoln, they also came with little side kicks.

While trying to do research I pretty much drew blanks I did however find this commercial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLABasuuGBQ
and this video with someone actually talking about them how neat is that?!?!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fctyC01_NWM

My husband still looks at the toy and says its no Alien..maybe this Christmas he will get the toy he has always wanted :)
