So yesterday I finally made it to 100 sales in my shop Im surprised I never thought Id make it!
My goal was to reach 100 before the end of the year and I did it!
I feel like I can have more confidence in things I do now because I finally reached a goal ( I usually dont make it )
Im also happy because Im getting to do something I enjoy
Ive always loved crafting and Ive always loved going to flea markets and looking for treasures and now I have a job doing it.
Ive always loved selling things I remember when I was about 5 I decided to sell some of my mcdonalds toys I made a table outside by putting a wood plank over my moms barrel planter
and I laid out the toys I remember that I put my Hook toys out and I made a sign and put it by the road toys 1cent and a few kids on bikes stopped and bought toys.
Ive always wanted to have my own store but I cant afford to buy one and etsy is letting me live out my dream.
So wish me luck because I now know that this is something im going to want to do for the rest of my life.

Its a boy!..
So today I learned something that shocked me to tears
Today was Sophies appointment to get spayed so josh took her to her appointment at 8am
and he woke me up at noon when he got her to tell me that my cat is now pretty much a girl
and I said what?!?! and he said yeah it turns out that Sophie is a boy and not a girl..
and he also informed me that Sophie acted so bad at her appointment that the vet told him to get a new vet..because he doesnt want to see him again.
ARGH!
So im a little upset but this has happend to me in the past with my cat Lucy..
When I was turning 16 my mom asked what I wanted and I said that I wanted to get a kitten from my cousins who had a new liter of babies ready to go..she said ok and sent me over there to get one but I got 2 instead because the kittens were best friends and brothers and didnt want to be apart
I named one cat Maxwell and one cat Lucy ( after beatles songs )
well it turns out that Lucy wasnt a girl but was a boy but I went ahead and kept the name Lucy because I wanted them to both have beatles names.
So Im sure Ill keep the name Sophie but only because he is used to it.
My husband is pouting over it..he tends to pout over a lot of stupid stuff but im used to it we have been married for over 5 years now.

Flea market adventure funnn
Last saturday I got to go on the flea market adventure that I had been waiting to go on for awhile now.
We went to a total of 6 flea markets starting in neosho and then to seneca and then to grove oklahoma.
The first flea market that we went to was a fairly new one so it didnt have much in it yet I did find a few interesting items.
I got a brass letter opener with a teddy bear ( I already put it up in my etsy store )
and a few old metal letters I got a K,J and a V
Josh got a vintage tin of tobacco that he is hoping to sell online soon..its 60 years old!!!
The next flea market was this little junkie one but those are the best because things are always really really cheap.
I got a few vintage toys a Jem doll that has seen better days it is naked and missing an arm and has some discoloration but the head is in perfect shape.
I got some vintage Ninja turtles toys and a few small things for my animal charity store.
The next flea market I went to was a small one that I had never been to before it didnt have much but I did find a bag of barbie shoes and acessories I also got a Kikis delivery service vhs and then the next flea market was across the street so we walked over to it
I found a large box of Crystals for only 5.00 which is a really good deal because normally I pay about 1.00 a piece for them at the rock shops in Eureka Springs ( its a pretty little town with some great shops and lots of art ) the only bad thing about it is that things close at 5pm so being a night person I dont go there very often.
I also bought a Castle in the sky vhs and a book The Gnome From Nome its in the Serendipity series.
After doing those flea markets we still had some time left so we went on to Grove oklahoma
The first flea market we stopped at there was TERRIBLE I waited forever in line because the lady was chatty and then when I finally got to the front she said she was sorry and then she said that she actually wasnt sorry and to bad for me..so Ill never go back again I hate it when people are rude for no reason :( so after that we left and made it to the last flea market where I had looked at a MLP in the past and I was hoping it would still be there it was so I bought it and as we were paying Josh noticed a vintage tobacco pipe and he asked if he could look at it ..it didnt have a price so the lady just said 6.00 we did some reasearch on it when we got home that night and it goes for about 300 wow!

7.The other day I ordered a margaritta and didnt pull out my ID and the guy said I need your ID you look like your 12 ( made me happy because I thought I was starting to look old )

Rainbow brite and the 1980s
I love 80s stuff..but unfortunately I didnt get to see much of the 80s..I was born in 1988
One of the things I love most is Rainbow Brite as a little girl I wanted to be rainbow brite and I pretended my horse was starlite the most wonderful horse in the universe.
I had a rainbow belt and my dad rented the movies for me all the time.
( me age 5)
As a kid I was sick most of the time and didnt get out much..but the bright colors always cheered me up.
I had a rainbow brite night gown and I remember I wanted the doll so bad!
My parents finally took me on a very long flea marketing trip searching and searching for it until we finally found one she was a smallish one and in good shape.
Times passed and I have no idea where that doll went..But recently my mom bought me a large newer one at a flea market and I also found a vintage 1983 18 inch one that I have up for sale in my shop.
Last christmas I was lucky enough to receive a dvd box set from my husband.
When we were dating I introduced him to the cartoon ( he had never heard of it ) and he introduced me to Scooby doo and the Boo Brothers :)
Heres a box set I plan to buy pretty soon of 80s cartoons..I plan on eating cereal and watching it.
My husband has asked me what I want for christmas and I think I found what I want :)

HALLOWEEEEEEN!!
Tomorrow is my favorite holiday halloween
I honestly dont care much about the other holidays..I never have
but halloween is perfect..great weather the leaves have changed color
fall festivals horror movies candy snack foods pumpkins
Great art..good tv specials ( I think I dont watch tv anymore.)
All month long Ive been watching horror movies and
Simpsons treehouse of horror..and finally I watched the best
Its the great Pumpkin Charlie Brown :)
Tomorrow I will be watch Halloween..I saved the best for last :)

My new Fur baby!
I usually talk about vintage toys..but today Im going to talk about something different..something that makes me reaaaally happy!
After losing Merrill and crying nearly everyday and thinking I might not ever be ready for another cat again because of how bad that hurt..I realized that Im always going to be sad about her and Ill always miss her because she was my world..but Ive never not had a cat they have always been a huge part of my life.
I remember the first time I saw a cat..my brothers cat keeker she was a sleek and graceful black cat
I wanted to pet her really bad but she wouldnt let me so everyday I would try to catch her ( this is probably one of my first memories ) finally she let me and we became great friends Id put makeup on her and a ring on her tail..she was my first friend.
My first word was cat..it was also the first word I ever learned to write.
and it was also my first picture :)

I started looking at cats to adopt on tailwaggers facebook page
And then along came Dove this tiny little fluffy grey and white kitten..I showed her picture of josh.and he thought she was adorable we were also interested in her sister mochi but ..our apartment well only let us have one..so we filled out the adoption papers and waited and then a few days later they called saying we could come by anytime to pick out a kitty :)
So on friday we went to pick out a fur baby I was really really excited about it..I dont remember the last time I got that excited..I was like a child going to disneyland for the first time :)
We got there and we played with both of them..but I knew as soon as I saw her that she was the one for me..She jumped up and clung to her cage and she purrred
We played with both of them and then we left with her..
She was good the whole way home cuddling up in my arms and purring.
It took us a little over a day to come up with a name for her..( dove was the name she came with ) finally we decided on Sophie..she looks like a sophie with her sweet face and lady like manor.
Im very happy with her we have been cuddling and playing and watching cats 101 on youtube she loves it.
As you can see she is very playful! Her she is whispering secrets into Gus's ear

After losing Merrill and crying nearly everyday and thinking I might not ever be ready for another cat again because of how bad that hurt..I realized that Im always going to be sad about her and Ill always miss her because she was my world..but Ive never not had a cat they have always been a huge part of my life.
I remember the first time I saw a cat..my brothers cat keeker she was a sleek and graceful black cat
I wanted to pet her really bad but she wouldnt let me so everyday I would try to catch her ( this is probably one of my first memories ) finally she let me and we became great friends Id put makeup on her and a ring on her tail..she was my first friend.
My first word was cat..it was also the first word I ever learned to write.
and it was also my first picture :)

I started looking at cats to adopt on tailwaggers facebook page
And then along came Dove this tiny little fluffy grey and white kitten..I showed her picture of josh.and he thought she was adorable we were also interested in her sister mochi but ..our apartment well only let us have one..so we filled out the adoption papers and waited and then a few days later they called saying we could come by anytime to pick out a kitty :)
So on friday we went to pick out a fur baby I was really really excited about it..I dont remember the last time I got that excited..I was like a child going to disneyland for the first time :)

Gumball Machine Ramblings
Today I woke up and I had a sale in my animal charity shop
That made me feel better and less worried about it not working out.
I sold these vintage dog figurines I think they are made out of celluloid or some other plastic that isnt used anymore.
They were bought by a wonderful lady who is going to put them in her doll house :)
Heres another listing that I have in my animal charity shop
I think its adorable! It seems like he should have a butterfly or something on his tail
Vintage deer figurines are so fun and perfectly kitsch!
Ive been saving bottle caps for awhile now to craft with and I finally decided to make this colorful collage for my very boring white wall.
Next while I was cleaning my craft area I suddenly had an over powering urge to make something ( it happens all the time no wonder nothing gets done! )so I sat down with my canvas and gumball machine toys and bottle caps and made this
Most of the bottle caps are from water bottles ( our water here at the apartment is very gross ) so we buy all our water the other caps are from sprite and mountain dew and smirnoff apple bite and from nasal spray ..My husband goes through one a week he has a chronic sinus problem.
I used some vintage magnets and some buttons and beads and some gumball machine capsules.

These days I dont run into to many gumball machines filled with cheap plastic toys that I just cant say no to..I guess thats good because once I asked a cashier for $30 in quarters and I went nuts.
But the lack of gumball machines makes me a little sad because that was a big part of childhood.
Id go to the store with my mom and then on the way out Id ask for some quarters
I liked the machines that were more random and not the ones filled with plastic football helmets and stickers and candy.
I loved trying to get the toy I wanted most and probably spending $50 before I got it.
For so long I wondered what to do with the capsules..when I was little I put change in them
it seemed like a waste to toss them out.
My husband wants to make him a legend of zelda collage of link
So Ill have to keep on saving my bottle caps.

Squeaky toys!
I finally got the pictures of the toys I need help identifying.
the first two I know to be Ruth E Newton but I cant find a price for them
I have found rubber cats similar but they have color this one doesnt look like it ever has
The back says Ruth E newton Sun Rubber company.
Next we have this awful clown..He wasnt painted right at the factory
and the truth is I hate clowns....the bottom of his feet say AJC C.65
Next we have this toy front view and side view..The top of his hat pushs in so water can come out his mouth..I cant find anything about him he was made in Hong Kong
Next we have this liddle kiddle ish doll I have no idea if she is a liddle kiddle or a look alike
Im also not sure if the car goes with her ..but I have identified it as a liddle kiddle car.
Here she is out of the car.I think she is pretty cute :)

New listings and other such stuff
I realized I havent made in a new blog entry in awhile
Im not going to get followers by being boring :(
Recently Ive been working harder on my shop than I usually do.
Buying new stuff making new stuff.
Recently I had an Adventure to a flea market in oklahoma to buy some Agatha Christie books I had wanted but didnt get the last time I was there.
I got them stacks and stacks of them ( the leather look ones ) I think im getting on another Agatha Christie kick..Im also reading some of them outloud to Josh..After Im done reading him those I promised I would start reading the Yellow fairy book and the Green Fairy book and the Red Fairy book ( By Andrew Lang )
So As I was searching for the book booth I found a bag of Lovely Squeak toys
Some were Ruth E Newton.
I was very happy with the find and today I spent time cleaning them up and getting them ready for pictures.
This weekend after I take the pictures Ill post them on here and you can tell me what you think.
I also found a cute little doll awhile back at a flea market near Arkansas that looks like maybe it might be a liddle Kiddle..im not sure though maybe someone on here can help me after I post the picture.
Anyways Ive been working on necklaces for both my shops.
I really enjoy crafting while watching some cartoons or movies to inspire me :)
Im pretty proud of this one it turned out really well after I took it apart and re did the color combination a few times
